Author Guidelines

1. Terms of Submission

Manuscripts must be original and not previously published, except in the form of an abstract, lecture, or thesis. Submissions must not be under review by another journal. The corresponding author must ensure that all co‑authors approve the submission and the final version of the manuscript. All inquiries should be directed to: editor@jimbsr.com

2. Review Process

All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening followed by double‑blind peer review by qualified reviewers. The journal aims to provide reviewer comments within 4–6 weeks. Manuscripts accepted pending revision will be re‑evaluated after authors submit corrected versions. Accepted papers proceed to copyediting, proofreading, and publication.

3. Manuscript Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, grammatically correct English.

Formatting Standards

Times New Roman, 10 pt
Single‑spaced
Pages numbered bottom‑right
Manuscript arranged in the following order:

3.1 Title Page

Full title (capitalize first letter of each word)
Full names and affiliations of all authors
Corresponding author’s email and phone number

3.2 Abstract

150–250 words
Past tense
No citations
State background, aim, methods, key results, and conclusion

3.3 Keywords

Provide 5–7 keywords that do not duplicate words in the title.

3.4 Introduction

Provide background, problem statement, relevant literature, knowledge gap, and aims of the study. Do not include results or conclusions.

3.5 Materials and Methods

Provide sufficient detail for reproducibility. Describe new methods fully; cite previously published methods. Use subheadings where appropriate.

3.6 Results

Present findings clearly using text, tables, and figures. Avoid repeating data in multiple formats. Write in past tense.

3.7 Discussion

Interpret results, relate them to existing literature, and explain significance. Results and Discussion may be combined.

3.8 Conclusion

Optional. Should not duplicate the abstract.

3.9 Acknowledgments

Briefly mention funding, grants, or assistance.

3.10 References

Use Vancouver citation style (numbered, sequential). List references in the order they appear in the text. Provide online links (PubMed preferred) when available. List first five authors followed by et al. if more than five.

4. Figures and Illustrations

Minimum resolution: 300–600 dpi
Acceptable formats: TIFF, JPEG, DOC
Embed figures within the manuscript
Number figures sequentially (Figure 1, Figure 2…)
Provide clear captions on a separate page

5. Tables and Equations

Embed tables within the manuscript
Number sequentially (Table 1, Table 2…)
Each table must have a title and legend
Avoid duplication of data in both tables and figures
Equations may be submitted as TIFF/EPS if not compatible with MathML

6. Supplementary Information

Supplementary files (figures, tables, datasets) must be submitted as a single PDF. Images should not exceed 640 × 480 pixels.

7. Proofs

Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author as a PDF. Only minor corrections are allowed at this stage. Proofs must be returned within 3 days.

8. Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. The journal defines plagiarism as reproducing another work with 25% or more similarity without proper citation. All submissions are screened using iThenticate.

If plagiarism is detected:

Authors will be notified and allowed to respond
Manuscripts may be rejected or retracted
Authors may be temporarily banned from future submissions

9. Submission Checklist

Before submitting your manuscript, ensure that:

All references cited in the text appear in the reference list
All figures and tables are cited in the text
Figures meet minimum resolution requirements
Pages are numbered correctly
Manuscript follows Vancouver citation style
All authors approve the final version
Ethical approvals are included when required

10. Article Processing Charges (APC)

The journal operates a Hybrid model. Authors choosing Open Access must pay 150 USD after acceptance. The review process is identical for both Open Access and subscription articles.
